Frames for Your Prescription
AND your Look
What makes a frame right for you? It’s really a blend of art and science. Like the old song goes “You’ve got to accentuate the positive!” The size and shape of the frame should compliment your features, and if the colors of the frame work with your skin tone, hair and eyes, they will go with just about anything in your wardrobe. The right frame can even help obscure some of those pesky signs of aging!
We’ll talk with you about your prescription and frame selection. We want to make sure your frames will be as comfortable as they can be. Some lenses get thicker in the center, others get thicker on the edges. Characteristics like this can make your lenses heavier than they need to be if you pick the wrong kind of frame.
A frame is only as good as the materials it’s made of. A high quality acetate can be custom fit much better than a standard acetate. Upgraded metals like stainless steel and titanium add durability and longevity to your frame.
Did you know all the frames in some big box stores are made by the same company? You can go into Lenscrafters, comparison shop Oakley, Rayban and Persol and not realize the same company owns all three! If we sell a brand (we sell RayBan too, for example) we choose that brand on it’s own merits, nothing else.
Please stop in Wood Opticians and let us help you pick a frame that works for you cosmetically and optically. We want you to LOVE your frames...in fact, we guarantee you will!
